first 3D prints at the new fablab Deventer

The first round of 3D workshops finished with printing the participant’s very own designs in the brand-new fablab in Deventer.

Examples of the digital sculpting class included dragon heads, poking tongues and sleeping cats:

 
Having learned to work with 3D software like Rhino 5 and Sculptris Alpha 6 at the Leeuwenkuil medialab, the participants prepared their models for printing on an Ultimaker Original:

 
Setting the resolution of the 3D print, choosing the right colour and filament and finally watching the printer do its work was quite an experience:
